Who We Are



Having grown up in a traditional Ghanaian home where plantains were a staple; I fell in love and have been cooking them up in creative ways ever since. The name, Kelewele, is adopted from a popular Ghanaian street food comprised of diced plantains fried in savory spices and herbs - a favorite of mine over the years. While my business has its roots in my West African background, I incorporate Latin, Caribbean, South Asian (among others!) culinary techniques into my creations.
